Dr Susu Thatun

Susu Thatun Dr. Susu Thatun joined UNICEF Headquarters in early 2009 as the specialist on the issues of child trafficking and migration. Prior to this, Susu had worked on the issue of human trafficking in the Asia Pacific region for nearly ten years, two and a half of these being with World Vision Australia as Senior Policy Advisor on Human Trafficking. She spent 6 years in varying capacities with the UNDP administered UN Inter-agency Project against trafficking in the Greater Mekong Sub-region at a time when human trafficking was little recognized. Susu was at the forefront of spearheading the development of bilateral as well as multilateral regional cooperation in the Mekong region. Susu holds a PhD in International Political Economy from University of Tsukuba, Japan.
