Robyn Archer

Robyn Archer AO is a singer, writer, artistic director and public advocate of the arts. She is currently Creative Director of the Centenary of Canberra (2013), and Artistic Director of The Light in Winter (Melbourne).

Robyn is an Officer of the Order of Australia, Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (France), Officer of the Crown (Belgium) and holds honorary doctorates from Flinders University (SA), and the Universities of Sydney and Canberra. She has been awarded the Dame Elisabeth Murdoch ABAF Award for Cultural Leadership, the International Society of Performing Arts’ International Citation of Merit, is currently Adjunct Professor at the University of Canberra and Chair of the Arts Advisory Board of the Adelaide College of the Arts.

Robyn is an Ambassador for the 2012 National year of Reading, the International Women’s Development Agency and the Adelaide Football Club, as well as being a Patron of The Australian Arts Orchestra ( Melbourne), Brink Theatre Productions (Adelaide), the Australian Script Centre ( Hobart) The Arts Law Society (Sydney) and the Institute of Postcolonial Studies (Melbourne).
